Lake Pend Oreille | Pend Oreille River

We work hard to foster grassroots advocacy on watershed issues

Lake Pend Oreille Waterkeeper (LPOW) works in the public interest to protect our amazing watershed from threats of pollution, misuse and degradation.

Our goal is to keep local waterways drinkable, fishable and swimmable for future generations.

LPOW’s “jurisdiction” includes Lake Pend Oreille, the Pend Oreille River down to the Albeni Falls Dam, the Clark Fork River up to the Cabinet Gorge Dam, and all of the tributaries that flow into the lake.

LPOW works hard to foster grassroots advocacy on watershed issues, focusing on strong community participation to keep local waterways healthy and clean.

LPOW strives to engage people of all ages in educational events, active stewardship and service to the watershed.

We know it takes a whole community to protect swimmable, fishable, drinkable waterways!
