The Priest River station is located in the Pend Oreille River in Bonner County, outside the mixing zone where treated wastewater is discharged from the Priest River wastewater treatment facility. Samples are collected outside the mixing zone to determine if wastewater operations are impacting water quality. Monitoring at this location started in 2013.
